The mission of Metro Milwaukee SHRM is to serve the professional and advance the profession.  To do that, we look to four areas:  Programming, Networking, Communications, and Outreach.  Everything we do is created for HR professionals by HR professionals.  What that means is that our offerings are targeted and specific.  They are high-value, using your time and resources as effectively and efficiently as possible.  They are, frankly, the area’s best resource for becoming and remaining an effective HR professional!

• Professional development programs – dozens of them each year – covering all of the various HR disciplines – talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance and development, diversity-equity-inclusion, and more….
• Personal development program – about one per month – targeting the soft skills that go along with being the best at what you do – planning, presentation skills, leadership skills, and more….
• HR Executive Insights, which bring CHROs to the table to share, in a relaxed setting, insights into their career journey, current challenges, and more.
• Our full-day Spring Conference featuring national keynote speakers and timely and topical session speakers .
• Our full-day Legislative Conference featuring keynotes and breakout sessions to keep you up to date with legal and regulatory cases and the latest in court rulings affecting the HR profession.
• Networking events – some large and some small – that bring HR professionals together to talk about their burning issues, but also give you a chance to relax and unwind in some of the coolest places in Southeastern Wisconsin.
